Rethinking Developer Experience (DX)

Everyone can agree that a good experience is a crucial element for a successful web development project. But occasionally there is a perception that optimizing developer experience (DX) can come into conflict with a quality user experience (UX).

This talk is for designers, developers, project managers, and really anyone interested in building high-quality web apps.  We will delve into the meaning and significance of the term developer experience and its parallels to user experience. Attendees will learn practical strategies for prioritizing developer experience and how it can positively impact software development outcomes without negatively impacting the end web consumer experience.

The talk will also explore the role of failure in engineering and how rational empirical methods can lead to better outcomes for developers and end consumers alike.
