Ontology-First Knowledge Graphs

Knowledge Graphs are about denoting resources from the real world and capturing knowledge as facts about those resources in connected graphs. But what does that even mean? And why are they useful?

In this talk, I will give you deep intuitions about Knowledge Graphs by making factual statements using RDF (Resource Description Framework) and organizing that knowledge using ontologies. We will explore some of the main RDF vocabularies out there and then write an ontology from scratch together and validate it.

Finally, I will explain why Netflix is betting on a Ontology-First strategy for connecting data.
